WF78: Create Maintenance Action Import Configuration

Detailed Steps

1. Open Application Preferences (Task Menu: Preferences > Application Preferences).
2. Select Maintenance Action tab (Task Menu: Preferences > Application Preferences > Modeling > Import > Maintenance Action).
3. Click the '+' icon to create a new Maintenance data import configuration.
4. Define Import Configuration Details — Name, Description.
5. Define mapping in the Action tab — allows mapping of essential details for each maintenance action defined for an item: Name*, Maintenance Action ID*, Active?, Description, Inspection Interval (hrs), Maintenance Interval (hrs), Location (Field, Local Depot, or Remote Depot), Maintenance Type (combines type and sub-type, e.g. Breakdown, Repair). Enter worksheet name and header rows, and complete the mapping. Properties marked * are mandatory.
6. Define mapping in the Tasks tab — allows mapping of individual tasks linked to maintenance actions: Name*, Maintenance Action ID (links Tasks and Action categories), Task ID*, Activity Type (maintenance or inspection), Downtime? (whether the task requires downtime), Duration (hrs) (time to complete the task). Enter worksheet name and header rows, and complete the mapping.
7. Define mapping in the Personnel tab — allows mapping of individuals involved in maintenance tasks: Name*, Personnel ID*, Maintenance Task ID* (links to relevant tasks), Quantity (total individuals assigned), Rate (cost per person per hour). Enter worksheet name and header rows, and complete the mapping.
8. Define mapping in the Items tab — allows mapping of equipment and consumables required for the maintenance action: Name*, Maintenance Action ID*, Item ID, Activity Type, Quantity, Unit Cost. Enter worksheet name and header rows, and complete the mapping.
9. Import configuration is created — the Maintenance Action import configuration is created and ready for use. Refer to the Maintenance Import guide.

• Step 1: Open Application Preferences — Main menu: Preferences > Application Preferences.
• Step 2: Select Maintenance Action Tab — Preferences tree: Modeling > Contributor Roles, Failure Diagram, Fault Tree Analysis, Import > Component, FMEA Data, Maintenance Action [selected], Requirement; Maintenance Locations, Maintenance Personnel, Status Text, Tool-tips. Right panel "Maintenance Action" > "Maintenance Action Import Configurations" table (Default, Name, Columns) with add/edit/copy/delete icons.
• Step 3: Create a New Configuration — Click the green '+' icon.
• Step 4: Define Import Configuration Details — "Maintenance Action Import Configuration" dialog: Name (e.g. "Import config for demo"), Description (e.g. "Narrative for demo"). Four tabs: "Action", "Tasks", "Personnel", "Items". Warning initially: "There are no configured columns for any of the worksheets in the maintenance action import configuration."
• Step 5: Define Mapping in Action Tab — Worksheet (e.g. "Sheet1"), Header Rows (e.g. 1). Column mapping table example: Column A -> MADE Property "Maintenance Action ID" (Text, Validation "Non-empty"); Column B -> "Name" (Text, Validation "Non-empty").
• Step 6: Define Mapping in Tasks Tab — Worksheet "Sheet1", Header Rows 1. Example: Column A -> "Maintenance Action ..." (Text, N/A); Column B -> "Task ID" (Text, Non-empty); Column C -> "Name" (Text, Non-empty).
• Step 7: Define Mapping in Personnel Tab — Worksheet "Sheet1", Header Rows 1. Example: Column A -> "Maintenance Task ID" (Text, N/A); Column B -> "Name" (Text, Non-empty).
• Step 8: Define Mapping in Items Tab — Worksheet "Sheet1", Header Rows 1. Example: Column A -> "Maintenance Action ID" (Text, N/A); Column B -> "Name" (Text, Non-empty).
• Step 9: Import Configuration is Created — Back in "Maintenance Action Import Configurations" list, the new configuration appears (e.g. "Import config for demo", marked Default, Columns "9"). Click Apply and Close.
