Warnings and Errors

The MADE Warnings and Errors system outlines the problems that exist in the current

MADE model.

These problems are classified into two types:

  • Warning: A problem which will not prevent the analysis of the model from proceeding, thus not necessarily requiring a resolution.
  • Error: A serious problem in the current model that will affect the analysis. Normally an error indicates the model has an incorrect state.

To open the Problems viewer:

  1. Left-click on "View" in the Main Menu
  2. Select "Open View"
  3. Select "Problems"

The Problems viewer displays the following information:

  • Name: Indicates the item and warning type
  • Model: Identifies the item location (including LOI) in which the warning is applied to

Resolving Errors & Warnings

Warnings or Errors displayed in the Problems viewer can be resolved with the steps

below:

  1. Double-click the warning or error in the Problems viewer - this action locates and highlights the item in the system model.
  2. Alternatively, right-click a warning/error and select "Go to..." - this action also locates and highlights the issue in the system model.
  3. Right-lick a warning/error and select "Hide Warning" to disregard the problem from the list (the total item count will reflect this change).

Problems Viewer Options

The Problems viewer icons on the top-right corner are described below:

  • Show Hidden Warnings : Unhides all previously hidden warnings. [Image: unhideicon.png]
  • Unhide Hidden Warnings : Removes the 'hidden' setting from all/selected warnings. [Image: unhideall.png]
  • Warning Preferences : Accesses the warnings page in the Application Preferences dialog. [Image: warningpref.png]
