Sensor Analysis

MADE Sensor Analysis performs analysis on all the failure paths in either dynamic

model or functional model and generates sensor set solutions with minimal number of

sensors and maximum coverage.

To conduct a sensor analysis:

  1. Set module to the PHM module.
  2. Open the Sensor Analysis Wizard either from the main menu, select View → Open View → Current Diagnostics Analysis
  3. Select one of the plus symbols from the Sensor Sets group view

Note:This option is available only when functional analysis is

selected.

Any settings applied at this stage are persistent throughout the life-cycle of all

generated Sensor Sets and cannot be altered. If settings do need to be altered analysis

should be re-executed. Select "OK" to complete the sensor analysis setup.

For large systems, a progress bar will appear.

Once the process is finished, new sensor set(s) will be populated into the sensor

set table view similar as follow. All sensors within the same sensor set are grouped

based on their flow types.
