2 Workflow to Create Import Configurations

- Open Application Preferences
- Select FMEA Data Tab
- Create a new configuration
- Define Import Configuration Details (fed by: Name, Description)
- Define Item Mapping (fed by: Worksheet, Header Rows, *Item Name, *Item Number, Delay Time (hrs), Distribution Type, Duration of operation, Exponential - MTTF, Exponential - Part Failure Rate, Is Critical, LCN, MTTR, Parent Item Number, Physical Description, Safety Item?, Spares on Hand, Turn Around Time (hrs), Weibull - Characteristic Life, Weibull - Slope)
- Define FMEA Mapping (fed by: Worksheet, Header Rows, *Item Number, *Function, *Failure Mode, *Failure Mode ID, Failure Cause, Local Effects, Next Effects, End Effect, Detection Methods, Compensating Provisions, Prevention Controls, Substantiation Actions, MIL-STD-1629A properties, MIL-STD-882E properties, RPN properties, Narrative, Comment, Parent Item Number)
- Import configuration is created
Detailed Descriptions:
- Open Application Preferences (Task Menu: Preferences > Application Preferences).
- Select FMEA Data tab (Task Menu: Preferences > Application Preferences > Modeling > Import > FMEA Data).
- Click the plus icon to create a new FMEA import configuration.
- Define the Import Configuration file details with the following: Name, Description.
- To define the mapping to import items, enter worksheet name that contains item information and number of header rows in the import document. Properties marked * are mandatory mappings.
- To define the mapping to import FMEA, enter worksheet name that contains FMEA information and number of header rows in the import document. Properties marked * are mandatory mappings. MIL-STD-1629A properties include severity class, failure effect probability, failure mode ratio, operating time, probability of occurrence, failure mode criticality number, and item criticality number. MIL-STD-882E properties include probability, probability level, risk assessment code, severity, and severity category. RPN properties include detection, occurrence, risk priority number, and severity.
- FMEA Import configuration is created and ready for use in Model-Based RCM. Refer to WF75 - Create a Model based RCM analysis.

- Create a new configuration
- Define Import Configuration Details (fed by: Name, Description)
- Define mapping In Action tab (fed by: Worksheet, Header Rows, *Name, *Maintenance Action ID, Active?, Description, Location, Inspection Interval (hrs), Maintenance Interval (hrs), Maintenance Type)

Detailed Descriptions:
- Open Application Preferences (Task Menu: Preferences > Application Preferences).
- Select Maintenance Action tab (Task Menu: Preferences > Application Preferences > Modeling > Import > Maintenance Action).
- Click the plus icon to create a new Maintenance data import configuration.
- Define the Import Configuration file details with the following: Name, Description.
- Action tab allows mapping of essential details for each maintenance action defined for an item, such as the Name, Maintenance Action ID, and Active? status. Users can provide a Description, specify Inspection Interval (hrs) and Maintenance Interval (hrs), and select the Location from options like Field, Local Depot, or Remote Depot. The Maintenance Type combines the type and sub-type of maintenance (e.g., Breakdown, Repair) to fully define the action. Enter worksheet name that has the information, number of header rows in the import document, and complete the mapping. Properties marked * are mandatory mappings.
- Tasks tab allows mapping of individual tasks linked to maintenance actions. The Maintenance Action ID links the Tasks and Action categories. Key fields include the Task ID; Activity Type, indicating whether the task is maintenance or inspection; Downtime?, specifying if the task requires downtime or not; and Duration (hrs), the time required to complete the task. Enter worksheet name that has the information, number of header rows in the import document, and complete the mapping. Properties marked * are mandatory mappings.
- Personnel tab allows mapping of the individuals involved in maintenance tasks. Key fields include the Personnel ID, which identifies each person; Personnel - Quantity, the total number of individuals assigned to a task; and Rate, the cost per person per hour for conducting maintenance or inspection tasks. The Task ID links this information to the relevant tasks. Enter worksheet name that has the information, number of header rows in the import document, and complete the mapping. Properties marked * are mandatory mappings.
- Items tab allows mapping of the equipment and consumables required for the maintenance action. Key fields include Item ID, Quantity, and the cost of a single item.
