Functional Failure Settings
Functional Failure settings are used to set the allowed failure mode responses
(e.g. high or low) of an item (either subsystem or component). These settings
extend to items created for both FCM and Bond Graph simulations.
The steps to edit functional failure settings are shown below:
- Select or open the Properties viewer
- Select an item from the Project Explorer viewer or System Model editor
- Select the "Functional Failures" tab in the Properties Viewer
- If the item contains components or a failure diagram, select "Override Failure Diagram?" to enable the failure mode responses
- Select the tick-boxes next to each failure mode response to activate/deactivate it
- Save changes

When a failure mode response check-box is deactivated (e.g. un-check 'low'),
this removes that failure mode response from failure injection options and the
failure diagram. See figures below.
