Bond Graph Analysis Preferences

The preferences for Bond Graph analyses are located under Project Preferences:

Preferences → Project Preferences → Bond Analysis

Continuing Bond Simulation Analyses with Errors

When any bond simulation analysis action is executed and a modelling error is

present in the Problems viewer, a pop-up dialog box consults the user as to

whether to proceed with the current analysis or to cancel the request. The options

shown below show default settings that are set from the Project Preferences.

Always: continue analysis even though there are errors in the Problems

viewer

Never: Stop analysis whenever an error is present in the Problems viewer

Prompt: Show dialog box to request user input to decide whether to

continue or to stop analysis

Bond Simulation Parameters preferences

The options below affect the properties of the Simulation Response Graph for a

Bond Graph simulation.

Failure Activation Time: The point in time when a perturbation action

occurs or is executed. In the graph this is indicated as the first upward or

downward spike of the flow property under consideration. Setting the value for this

parameter will assign the step value (time in seconds) in which the perturbation is

applied

Simulation Time: The total duration of the simulation response graph (in

seconds)

Simulation Step: Step size is the fundamental unit of integration. It

indicates the interval at which the integration algorithm computes the integral of

the input function and generates a data point.

Perturbed Response Margin (%): The threshold applied to determine

whether a component response (transient, steady state) has deviated from nominal.

The margin is calculated as a percentage of the nominal response value at the same

time step.

Amplitude: A variable added to or subtracted from the current value at

time of perturbation.

Resistance Factor: A value added to or subtracted from the resistance

element at time of perturbation when conducting a Bond Graph simulation response.
