Updating an existing Library

The Update Wizard can be accessed by right-clicking a Library from the Library View

and selecting the "Open Update Wizard" option from the menu. Keeping a Library updated

will prevent the loss of information when communicating with the Library.

To update an existing Library, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Libraries Preferences area (Windows -> Application Preferences -> Libraries).

  2. Select the "Update Wizard" button under the Library Controls section. [Image: libraryupdate.png]

  3. If MADE has detected that updates are available for one or more Libraries, press the Next button to proceed. [Image: LibraryUpdateWizard-P1.png]

  4. Select the tick box for the Libraries to be updated or alternatively use the "Select All" button to check all available Libraries. [Image: LibraryUpdateWizard-P2.png]

  5. Press the "Finish" button to begin the updating process. A library editor will appear to indicate a successful update. [Image: LibraryUpdateWizard-P3.png]

  6. If prompted, enter the login details for the Library (built-in security measure). Please ensure that the computer user account has sufficient access privileges in order to perform updates to the Library. Note: By default a user will have the correct access to perform updates

on their local machine.
