Add an Existing Library
An existing library can be added from the application preferences in order to import
model items (parts, pairs, components, subsystems & systems).
Follow the prompts in the MADE Library Wizard when creating a new Library. See steps
below.
Open the Application Preferences then selecting Libraries from the menu on the left (Preferences → Application Preferences → Libraries)
Select "Add Library" on the right side to open the Add New Library dialog [Image: createnewlibrary.png]
Fill in the following Library information fields: H2 Database Libraries
- Library Name: The display name of the Library once it is added to the current MADE project
- Choose File: The directory path of where the library database is currently stored.
- Select "Browse" to locate the directory path
- Default MADE Login: Check this box to uses default permissions to access the H2 Database file. When unchecked:
- Use default MADE login: A default username and password can be used rather than specifying your own Note: Do not use this option if additional security is
required.
- Username: The username used to login to the MADE Library (Default: made)
- Password: The password used to login to the MADE Library
PostgreSQL Database Libraries
- Host Address: The host ID portion of an IP address, used to identify hosts on the network i.e. any device requiring a Network Interface Card, such as a PC.
- Port: A number that identifies one side of a connection between two computers..
- Database: The name of the Database Library to be imported. [Image: libraryaddnew.png]

Press the "Validate Settings" button to confirm that the Library details are correct. Any errors will be displayed at the top of the dialog. [Image: libraryaddnew3.png]
Select "OK" to add database into the library management table [Image: libraryaddnew4.png]

- The added library is visible in the Library Viewer allowing the user to import from or save to the database library. [Image: libraryaddnew6.png]
