System Hierarchy
System Hierarchy or level of indenture is a term used to describe the top-down definition of a system and typically consists of the following system elements:
- System
- Subsystems
- Components
- Part-Pairs
- Parts
See System Element definitions for a definition of each element.
System Hierarchy is viewed either using the Project Explorer or by number indicated in the MUX bar (System Model).

The project explorer also provides an item count feature to display the number of items for each system hierarchy.
