Failure Concepts Viewer

The Failure Concepts Viewer contains the taxonomy for all failure concepts and is

treated as a palette for the Failure Diagram editor. The editor consists of four icons

representing the failure concept types, a search bar, and the main display area where

failure concept categories and concepts are listed.

The type of Failures shown is toggled by selecting one of the four icons at the top

of the viewer. The drop down menu consists of filter which allow the user to display

failure concepts related to specific domains.

The auto-design option is a toggle which allows the user to construct fully

developed failure trees when inserting a mechanism in the failure diagram editor.

Drag and Drop concepts from the Failure Concepts View to a Failure Diagram to add a

failure to the diagram.
