Functional Failure Injection Settings
Fault Injection settings are used when the user wants to disregard the failure diagram of an item and instead focus on simplified failure mode responses. Functional Failure injection is accessed from the Properties viewer when selecting an item.
To carry out Failure Injection:
- Ensure the Properties viewer is open
- Select an item from the project explorer, system or bond graph model
- Select "Failure Injection" tab on the left side of Properties viewer
- Check the "Enable Failure Injection" check-box
- Select the "Activation" check-boxes to select or de-select failure mode responses
- Save changes

Functional Failure Injection table
There are 3 columns in the functional failure injection table:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Flow column | Lists all possible functional injections with value +1 or -1 and flow response defined based on the flow taxonomy used. Note: The value in brackets are value associated with the flow property response as seen in the response membership. |
| Response column | The actual response corresponding to the injection. |
| Activation column | A check box to determine if the disturbance is activated. |
