Application Preferences

Application Preferences are applied to the user profile so will be persistent over

all projects opened by that particular user.

Application Preferences is accessed from the Main Menu by selecting

"Preferences → Application Preferences".

The following are pages that can be accessed in the Application Preferences:

Analysis

The Analysis page allows the user to calculate the criticality and set the threshold

settings.

The Analysis page contains two additional subpages:

  • Failure Assessment Index
  • Monte Carlo

Failure Assessment Index

The Failure Assessmemt Index contains the different categories of criticality.

Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo is a method used to solve problems that might be deterministic in

principle using randomness.

Annotation Policy

Annotation Policy allows the user to customize the annotation policies as well as

managing the existing ones.

Features

Features contains a feature list of the project which provides a definition for parts.

General

General settings for MADE that the user can toggle to fit their needs.

Appearance

Visual settings for MADE application.

Colors and Fonts

Allows the user to alter the color and size of the font

Languages

Allows the user to select their desired language for MADE to operate in.

Libraries

The library allows the user to create, add, edit as well as remove libraries.

Library Options

Allows the user to edit the library settings in MADE.

Modeling

Allows the user to edit the Modeling, Project Explorer and Connections settings.

Status Text

The Status text is used to show the user important information about the current state

of the model, it can be seen in the top left corner of supporting diagrams.

Tool-tips

Provides the user to edit the system tool-tips options.

Organization Details

Allows the user to enter the details of the organization.

Organization Logo

Allows the user to upload their organization logo to MADE.

Problems

Allows the user to select the warnings to be shown on the problems tab.

Propagation Table

Allows the user to decide whether to export the propagation table responses as

numeric values.

Reporting

Allows the user to edit the FMEA/FMECA Output Options as well as customizing the

footer messages.

Filtering

Allows the user to enable filtering of the failure concepts.

Output Settings

Allows the user to set the location of the export.

Reporting Templates

It shows a list of reporting templates on MADE which the user can choose from as well

as creating new ones, editing existing ones and deleting unwanted ones. It also allows

the user to import and export reporting templates into MADE.
