How to create and edit criticality profiles in MADE?

MADE supports multiple criticality profiles that align with various aerospace and military standards for risk assessment and safety analysis. These include ARP5461 for civil aviation, among others.

Steps

1. Open the criticality profile by navigating to Preferences > Criticality Profile Editor (you can do this from any module).
2. Determine if any of the preprogrammed profiles fit your need, or if the project requires a custom profile.
3. Create a new Application Profile Template by selecting the "+" button.
4. Scroll to the end of the Templates list and open the new template by double-clicking the listing. This opens an editor.
   • Note: the features displayed in the editor may vary depending on the data standard used to create the new template.
5. Select "New Custom Profile" by double-clicking the table row, and unlock it by clicking the lock button.
