MADE Keyboard Shortcuts
Control (CTRL) Combination Shortcut Keys
| Key | Description |
|---|---|
| Ctrl+PgDn | Switch between editor or viewer tabs, from left to right. |
| Ctrl+PgUp | Switch between editor or viewer tabs, from right to left. |
| Ctrl+Space | Selects/De-selects an active item. |
| Ctrl+Minus (-) | Decrease the magnification on a selected editor. |
| Ctrl+Shift+Plus (+) | Increase the magnification on a selected editor. |
| Ctrl+Shift+E | Export a MADE model (previously imported from a STEP file) as a STEP file with highlighted items based on their criticality. |
| Ctrl+Shift+I | Import a file or MADE model item into the current MADE project. |
| Ctrl+Shift+L | Opens shortcut list. |
| Ctrl+Shift+L (twice) | Opens the Preference dialog. |
| Ctrl+Shift+S | Saves all the current active editor. |
| Ctrl+Shift+W | Closes all opened editors. |
| Ctrl+Shift+Space | Displays context information for a selected item in the model canvas. |
| Ctrl+Shift+F6 | Activate the previous Editor. |
| Ctrl+Shift+F7 | Activate the previous View. |
| Ctrl+Shift+F9 | Deactivates an active task. |
| Ctrl+A (Select All) | Selects the entire model canvas. |
| Ctrl+C (Copy) | Copies the selected object or text in the active editor, viewer, dialog or wizard. |
| Ctrl+E | Opens a drop-down menu listing all opened editors for the user to select. |
| Ctrl+M (Maximise) | Maximise selected editor or viewer. |
| Ctrl+N (New) | Creates a new MADE Project with the New Project dialog. |
| Ctrl+O (Open) | Displays the Open Project dialog to open or find an existing MADE Project. |
| Ctrl+P (Print) | Prints the selected editor. |
| Ctrl+S (Save) | Saves the current active editor. |
| Ctrl+V (Paste) | Inserts a cut or copied object or text in the active editor, viewer, dialog or wizard. |
| Ctrl+W (Close) | Closes the selected editor or viewer. |
| Ctrl+X (Cut) | Cuts the selected object or text. |
| Ctrl+Z (Undo) | Uses the Undo command to reverse the last command executed in MADE. |
| Ctrl+F6 | Activate the next Editor. |
| Ctrl+F7 | Activate the next View. |
| Ctrl+F9 | Activate Task in the Task Viewer. |
| Ctrl+F10 | Show View menu. |
| Ctrl+F12 | Open the Task Editor. |
Alternate (ALT) Combination Shortcut Keys

| Alt+Left | Select next item in the active editor or viewer, from left to right. |
| Alt+Right | Select next item in the active editor or viewer, from right to left. |
| Alt+Minus (-) | Show drop-down menu for editor or viewer. |
| Alt+Shift+Q | Opens the view shortcut list. |
| Alt+Shift+Q+Q | Shows list of available views, ordered by category. |
| Alt+Shift+Q+O | Opens the Outline viewer. |
| Alt+Shift+Q+K | Opens the Task List viewer. |
| Alt+Shift+Q+F3 | Shows the contributing Plug-in. |
| Alt+Shift+S | Opens the contributing Plug-in. |
| Alt+Shift+T | Opens the Search dialog. |
Function Keys
| Key | Description |

| F1 | Opens the Help view. |
| F2 | Rename a selected model item in the Project Explorer. |
| F10 | Select the Main Menu options. |
Other shortcut keys
| Key | Description |
|---|---|
| Alt | Selects the main menu options. For example, consecutively pressing "Alt", "S", "F" then "Enter" will open the Find/Replace editor. |
| Arrow Keys | Move up, down, left or right in the model canvas, editor, viewer, dialog or wizard when an item is selected. |
| Backspace | Deletes one character to the left in an alphanumeric entry field. |
| Delete | Removes the selected item. |
| End | Moves the blinking text cursor to the end of the line in an alphanumeric field. |
| Enter | Completes an action (e.g. "Next" in a dialog) or starts a new line in an alphanumeric field where line breaks are allowed. |
| Esc | Closes an open Dialog or Wizard. |
| Home | Moves the blinking text cursor to the beginning of the line in an alphanumeric field. |
| Page Up | Moves one screen up in an alphanumeric field where line breaks are allowed. |
| Page Down | Moves one screen up in an alphanumeric field where line breaks are allowed. |
| Spacebar | Performs the action of a selected button in a menu, dialog or wizard. Alternatively, the spacebar button adds a single, blank character in an alphanumeric field. |
| Tab | Moves to the next active icon or button in the MADE user interface. In the an alphanumeric field, the tab button adds a single indenture to the current line. |
