  • Step 2: Create Control Measure — Select "Control Measures" node. "FHA Control Measures" panel: "Create and/or edit Control Measures that can be associated with FHA Failure Conditions" table (ID, Name, Narrative, Type) with green '+' / edit / delete icons. Click '+' to open "Create Control Measure" dialog.
  • Step 3: Define Control Measure — "Create Control Measure" dialog fields: ID (e.g. "CM_01"), Name (e.g. "Automated Power Limitation"), Narrative (e.g. "Implementing automated systems that can limit engine power output in specific situations to prevent overloading or overheating."), and "Select a Control Measure" taxonomy tree under "Compensating Provision": Observation, Redundancy, Abort Mission, Change System Configuration, Modify Mission, Modify Sensor Set, Override System, Procedures, Redesign Component, Relief Devices, Safety Devices (selected in example). Click OK. Second example: ID "CM_02", Name "Regular Maintenance and Inspections", Narrative about a comprehensive maintenance schedule for powertrain components, Type "Procedures".
  • Step 5: Control Measures Created — Back in the "FHA Control Measures" list, both created measures appear (e.g. CM_02 "Regular Maintenance and Inspections" / Type "Proced..." and CM_01 "Automated Power Limitation" / Type "Safety ..."). Click Apply and Close.
