Project Explorer Viewer

The Project Explorer is used as the main navigation area for a MADE Project.

The viewer outlines the tree structure of a system model. It also displays the

number of items in a level of indenture, the item types (e.g. subsystem, component,

part), functions, failure diagrams or failure concepts if present.

In summary the Project explorer identifies:

  • Hierarchies (LOI) in the System Model Structure
  • Model Items: Systems, Subsystems, Components, Parts & Part-Pairs
  • Number of model items in a level of indenture
  • Item Function(s), Flow(s) & Flow Properties
  • End-effect Items
  • Item Failure Concepts

Selecting the drop-down menu

provides options for the user to filter and display:

  • Failure Diagrams
  • Functions
  • Item count (Shown in brackets next to item name)
  • Item & Vendor number in front of item name
