Modelling Overview

MADE uses its system model for several simulation techniques:

Simulation Technique	Description
Bond Graph	This simulation employs a dynamic, functional model to generate a Bond Graph which is the representation of energy flow within a system structure.
[ Fuzzy Cognitive Mapping](../../../pdf/FCM Modeling.pdf)	A functional model which details the functional relationships between components and systems in terms of the flows from one item to another.
Failure Modelling	A failure Model represents the passage of physical problems through a model element and its impact on item failure modes.

MADE provides two primary editors for modelling:

• System Model : used to model the dynamic and functional model of a system.
• Failure Diagram: used for modelling physical failures.
