Session 1.9: MADE Library (incl. Load from Library)

Note: This training deck is primarily composed of instructional screenshots (numbered dialog boxes, toolbar callouts, field highlights). The text below preserves all extractable slide text — titles, bullet points, discussion/exercise headings, and table content. Where a slide is dominated by an unlabeled screenshot, only the caption and step-list text could be extracted; screenshot visual detail itself is not represented.

DISCUSSION 1.9.1 MADE LIBRARY

What does the MADE Example library contain?

MADE example library contains example systems modelled by PHMT
Used as guides for how to model and accelerate the modeling process

How should the MADE Example library be used?

   Repeatability
   Transferability

What does the Palette contain?

The palette contains a database of exemplar components and parts
   Used to speed up modeling
Suggest correct function for an item

It enables efficient reuse of modeled content by allowing users to either
replace or append specific data category

How should the Load from Library feature be used?

To quickly update or enhance existing model items by applying
standardized data from the Library or Palette

To maintain consistency, accuracy, and save time during the modeling
     process

Session 1.9: MADE Library

EXERCISE 1.9.3 LOAD FROM LIBRARY

Complete the `Planetary Gearbox Rear' component failure diagram

Select File Load from Library from the main menu Select Replace Data option

Session 1.9: MADE Library

EXERCISE 1.10.1 LOAD FROM LIBRARY (CONTINUED)

Select Failures from the Data Categories and click on Next In the Item Mapping section on the right side, expand the Driveline subsystem Search for Gearbox (rotational) in the Palette and drag & drop it onto the Planetary Gearbox Rear on the right side to

establish a mapping and click on Next
