WF59: License Activation - FlexLM Local Server
Pre-Requisites
- A. The FlexLM Local Daemon Server has been installed and configured at the host machine.
- B. The IP Address/Host Name, the Port number of the FlexLM Local Server.
- C. The MADE software has been installed on the end-user's machine.
Detailed Steps
- Launch the MADE software on the end-user PC. If the MADE license has not been activated, the MADE License Finder dialog will appear.
- Select 'Select FlexNet' option under FlexNet Licensing.
- Enter the IP Address or Host Name, and Port number if non-default. Select 'Add' to insert the server into the saved License servers list. Additional servers can be added if there are more than one available server. Select 'Next'. MADE will activate with the first available server from top to bottom.
- Confirm that the license details displayed match the issued license:
- Holder: The name of the holder.
- Organization: The name of your organization.
- Country: The country of the organization.
- Issuer: The organization that issued the license to you.
- Expiration Date: The last valid date for the license, applicable to Subscription Licenses only.
- Maintenance End Date: The last valid date for maintenance, applicable to Perpetual Licenses only.
- Select 'Finish' to finalize the process. The MADE License is now activated, and the MADE License Finder dialogue will close, allowing access to the MADE software.

- Step 2: Select FlexNet — Same "MADE License Finder" landing dialog as WF57 (Cloud Licensing / FlexNet Licensing / "I don't have a license yet"). Click "Select FlexNet" button under "FlexNet Licensing" (LOCAL SERVER / OFFLINE).
- Step 4: Enter Local Server Details — "Configure your FlexNet license" page: "Both network server and local file options are available. Choose the one that matches the license you received."
- "Network Server License" section: Name / Host / Port fields plus "Add" button; "Saved License Servers" table (columns Name, Address, Port) — example row: Name "Flex Server", Address "172.16.2.10", Port "27000 (Default)".
- "OR" divider.
- "Local File License" section: field to "Browse for a FlexNet license (*.lic) file..." with "Browse" button.
- Navigation: < Back, Next >, Finish, Cancel.
- Step 5: Confirm License Details — "License validated successfully" message: "MADE is now running on FlexNet licensing. You can start using all licensed features." "License details" panel: Holder (e.g. "PHMT Testing License"), Organization (e.g. "PHM Technology Pty. Ltd."), Country (e.g. "AU"), Issuer (e.g. "PHM Technology Pty. Ltd."), Expiration date (e.g. "March 31 2028"). Click Finish.
