FMECA (SAE J1739, Rev. AUG2002)

The Failure mode, effects analysis, FMECA (SAE J1739, Rev. AUG2002), report is based

on the SAE J1739 standard. Specifically, the report is based on the "SAE J1739 Revised

AUG2002". The report lists the Failure Mode for each item in the system model that

leads to the selected End Effect. This report depends on functions, flows, failure

diagrams (if provided), severity, occurrence, detection and RPN.

Analysis Options

The user sets the end effect item according to the expected system output required

by selecting an element from the provided end effect item list followed by selecting

the "Set End Effect Item" button or from the system model, followed by

selecting the "Next" button. (alternatively, right-click on a selected item

in the system model and select "End Effect Item" from the menu).

The next page following Analysis Options will help define the report formatting

including page size, orientation and a customizable page footer.
