4.5 Significant Item Search
The Significant Item Search tab enables users to identify and select Potential Maintenance Significant Items (MSI). It allows choosing a desired Top Level item with an appropriate Indenture Limit to narrow the search scope. The user can then apply filter thresholds based on Reliability, Availability, Item Criticality, and Failure Criticality metrics to determine candidates for Potential MSIs.
By default, the Top Level item is set as the system. All MADE system model items will be present in the Maintenance Significant Item Search Results table if filter settings are not added. The table column visibility can be configured to display Item Numbers, LCN, Risk, Severity, Reliability, and Availability based on relevance to the selection/search process.
After MSIs are determined, selecting the Add button will add the chosen item into the Potential Maintenance Significant Items table for further assessment in the Functional Failure Analysis tab (Figure 39).
