Failure Occurrence

This chart type quantifies and displays any selected number of cause types/failure

concepts (cause, mechanism, fault, symptom) and the frequency of failure occurrences

within selected components/subsystems or the overall system.

Failure occurrences for cause types are represented in either a bar or pie chart

format with frequency (Y-axis) represented in either percentage breakdown or numerical

format.
