Save elements to Library

To save model elements to the library, follow the steps listed below:

1. Select the model element(s) to be saved to the Library

2. Select the File menu and press "Save to Library" [Image: LibrarySaveElements1.png]

3. Alternatively, Right-click a selected model element in the system model and select "Save to Library" from the context menu [Image: LibrarySaveElements2.png]

4. The Save to Library Wizard will be displayed showing the selected model items that will be saved to the Library on the left space and the available Libraries on the right space [Image: LibrarySaveElements3.png]

5. Select the appropriate Library and Category you wish to save the element to in the list of Available Libraries Note: If you are unsure what category to save your element in you can

perform a search to find similar elements to your own in one or more libraries

to reveal categories that might suit your own element.

6. Use your mouse to drag the element you want to save to the Library from the model items list onto the category you specified above. You should now see your element has moved and is listed under the category. Note: If for some reason this is the wrong category you can drag

the element back to the Model items list or drag it onto a different category.

7. Press Finish when all the elements being saved to the library have been assigned a category.

Additional Features

• Show Hierarchy: This button when enabled will expose the entire hierarchy of the elements being saved to the Library to help the user identify a particular element. [Image: show_hierarchy.png]
• Show all items: This button when enabled will expose all the current items under their respective categories in the Available Libraries list to help the user identify which category to save an element into. [Image: library_show_parts.png]
• Save assigned Sensor Set and Built in Test(s): If an element has an assigned Sensor Set or Test Points can be saved to the Library.
